There are two recognized forms. “Quid pro quo” is when a job benefit – a raise, promotion, or keeping your job – is tied to submitting to sexual conduct. “Hostile work environment” is unwelcome sexual conduct severe or pervasive enough to make the workplace abusive. Both are illegal, and a single quid pro quo demand can be enough on its own.
